Clearly a similar to a common squirrel but these guys are really friendly and they have a tiny tail. Legitimate animal pics were taken on a legitimate camera, not the iphone, so those pics will be posted later ... Everything is pretty much amazing visually. Massive canyons and waterfalls are all over the park.
The bear threat has it's painful preventative requiems, but getting eaten by a bear is likely worse. All food is slung nightly 10ft up or placed in a bearproof metal shelter they have at each campground for people to share. Jer bought bear spray which he carries, full time. I also caught and released this tiny but beautifully speckled trout!
